Day Job

For my day job, I work directly with owners of small and medium-sized companies when they reach a crossroads. At a point, they may wish to retire or sell their business. At the same time, want to ensure that their team members and employees are properly looked after. All while their legacy passes to an ethical and caring investor. Alternatively, they may be pursuing other strategic goals, such as a merger or acquisition. This is where I step in.

Meanwhile, owning a smaller company can sometimes feel isolating; therefore, an independent and confidential business confidant can provide the trusted support many owners value. In practice, some seek a sounding board for their ideas, while others need an experienced facilitator to help them navigate a wide range of business challenges. These may include, for example, HR matters, improving staff retention or team building, addressing the legal aspects of premises, or restructuring the company to its best advantage. Together, these are just some of the ways in which I support business owners.

Over time, I have built broad and diverse experience across many industrial sectors, ranging from construction and building services to manufacturing and engineering. In addition, within consumer-facing industries, I have worked with clients in areas as varied as restaurants, retail fashion, perfume and cosmetics, horticulture, and entertainment.

My company, Abucon Limited, was set up in 1999 (www.abucon.co.uk) since when I have worked with 100+ companies. Today I have an extensive network of partnerships with other investors and corporate specialists giving access to knowledge of all business sectors.
